Misread Signs

Collaboration with visual artists Yuliya Lanina. (2019)

This was a fascinating opportunity to work with the talented Russian-American artist Yuliya Lanina. On her website she says this about the piece: “Misread Signs” is a multimedia performance by Yuliya Lanina featuring animatronic sculptures, projected animation, music, and movement. It explores the effects of trauma on human psyche.

Most of the audio content in the music is derived for Yuliya’s own voice that I processed in many ways to create all kinds of sounds. Go here to visit Yuliya’s website.
