This piece is part of a large project by my friend and collaborator Jordan Walsh, named EIP (Electronic Integration Project) in which he commissioned several pieces for percussion and electronics. We had the great opportunity to have a performance at PASIC 2022 in Indianapolis.
For this piece we tapped onto our commonality in Hispanic heritage (me being and immigrant and him being the first-generation). The core of the piece is this short poem I wrote in Spanglish and that can be heard in a section of the piece. Audio and video coming soon!
