Four-hand piano (2020)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I wrote this piece for the LA based piano duo Hocket<\/a> from whom I had the pleasure to also write my piece Guajeos<\/a>. This is part of a big project in which they commissioned 50 composers to write miniatures with the prompt #What2020SoundsLike. I couldn’t help it but think about not only about the mess 2020 had been but also about what had happened during the last four years. I took some of those nasty words being constantly heard on the media and set them to music, because to me, that’s what 2020 had sounded like.
